This year's Single-Vineyard Cabernet release event was one of the best yet! Our Nickel & Nickel Cabernet Day is one of our most anticipated winery events this year, and we loved sharing the exciting new 2014 Napa Valley vintage with our wine club members and guests.
One of our favorite parts about our annual Cabernet release day is watching how our members gravitate toward certain Single-Vineyard Wines. No two wines are alike, even when the vineyards are less than a mile apart! Like so many things, are single-vineyard philosophy is most easily understood when you can actually taste and compare the vineyards side-by-side.
As for the 2014 vintage as a whole, Winemaker Darice Spinelli summed it up beautifully:
"Rich and elegant. Those are the two descriptors that come to mind every time I think about the 2014 Nickel & Nickel Single-Vineyard Cabernets. Intense fruit flavors and toasted oak add complexity to an incredible vintage."
We put together some of our favorite highlights from our Cabernet release, below. You can check out the full album here.

Last Saturday, wine club members gathered to celebrate some of our most-loved Far Niente Cabernets during our annual Cabernet Day celebration. We pulled the corks on some very special Cave Collection vintages (including a 36-years-young 1983 Far Niente Cabernet!) alongside the star of the event, the stunning 2016 Far Niente Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon.LEARN MORE
