Ready for some good wine news in 2020? We’re thrilled to introduce Post & Beam Wines, and to share two new Napa Valley wines – and an enduring part of our 40-year Napa Valley winemaking history – with you.
Post & Beam is the newest winery from our Far Niente Family of Wineries & Vineyards, but its name is was inspired by an age-old building technique. Traditional post and beam framework produces long-lasting barns and other structures and possesses a light-filled architectural style. This excellence in craftsmanship and adherence to time-honored, hand-crafted methods is something that shines through in our wines.
“Our goal with Post & Beam is to showcase what traditional winemaking methods and the highest quality fruit can do with the talented team we have here,” says Director of Winemaking Andrew Delos.
“In many ways, Post & Beam eschews trend and returns to tradition. These Napa Valley wines are rooted in the knowledge and experience of Far Niente. That expertise, our four decades of winemaking at the highest possible level, has enabled us to create wines that offer a beautiful purity of fruit.”
Ready to discover authentic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay with all of their essence – and none of the pretense?
A Celebration of Craftsmanship, Tradition, Legacy, Purity. Meet the Wines.
Our Cabernet: Honoring the fundamentals of traditional winemaking, every step we take in the cellar is intended to support and highlight, rather than mask or overwhelm, our superb Napa Valley Cabernet. Elegantly structured, the 2018 Post & Beam Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a fresh plum and violet perfume, supple tannins, whispers of vanilla and a finish that is pure finesse.
Our Chardonnay: Our classic winemaking style – no malolactic fermentation, neutral French oak aging – allows us to showcase the incredible textures and retain the natural acidity of our beautiful Napa Valley Chardonnay. Balanced and sophisticated, the 2019 Post & Beam Chardonnay offers alluring notes of mango and fresh gardenia, fresh citrus and stone fruit flavors, and a captivating minerality in every sip. It’s Napa Valley Chardonnay as it was meant to taste.
