One of things we enjoy most about our winemaking passion is how attuned we are to the seasons. When the vines turn dormant in the winter (and our winemaker takes a much-deserved vacation) it’s not long before we begin anticipating the next growing season. This new start is marked with a whisper of green that seems to appear all at once with bud break.
This year, all of Napa Valley is off to an early start. We’ve enjoyed warm, sun-filled days while many of our friends in other parts of the country were counting inches--and feet--of snow! The Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot vines in our Martin Stelling Vineyard are just beginning to unfurl their leaves.
Next, the vines will continue to grow and we’ll have bloom and fruit set to look forward to. Stay tuned!

Read on to hear what she has to say. Then mark your calendars for the January 17 release from Far Niente's Cave Collection. This year’s allocation is one of our most limited to date, with less than 100 bottles available for our most sought-after vintages.
